BRITISH-CROATIAN BUSINESS NETWORK, ZAGREB

15 February 2005 : Dear business people, both Croatian and foreign, in Croatia and the UK!

The British-Croatian Business Network would like to offer you a unique opportunity to participate in a sailing weekend, from 3 - 5 June 2005. Some of the details follow. If you are interested, could you please let us know as soon as possible, and no later than Monday, 21 February 2005. Reservations would need to be made now, as the regular weekly arrangements will book up in early spring and then take priority over a weekend arrangement like this one we are offering.

Details of the BCBN Sailing Weekend:
• Thursday, 2 June 2005, boarding and check-in after 5:00 pm (17:00), at the Hramina Marina in Murter. (To get to the Marina, take the Zagreb - Zadar highway to Pirovac, exit Pirovac, and then follow the local road to Murter).
• Friday, 3 June, sail out to Žut (app. 15 Nm), with one stop for swimming. Mooring at the marina on Žut or in the neighbouring bay of Hiljaca.
• Saturday, 4 June, sail out through Vela Proversa to the Kornati National Park. Sailing around the Sestrica lighthouse on the outer side of the island of Kornat to the bay of Lojena. Lunch. Sailing to the southern part of Kornat to the bay of Opat (app. 20 Nm). Mooring on Opat.
• Sunday, 5 June, sail back to Murter (app 10 Nm). Checkout, lunch, drive back to Zagreb.
The estimated price for the boat (on the basis of a 36 foot sailing boat and 6 people on board) will be EUR 140 per person for members, and EUR 200 for non-members. The cost of hiring a skipper is EUR 100 per day, payable on the spot. This cost can be shared among all aboard the same boat. Please let us know if you have a skipper's license, as we will otherwise assume that a skipper is needed for each boat.

The cost of meals has not been included in the estimate above. However, meals will be organised at mooring destinations at a special rate for participants.

If there is enough interest, and for those with a scuba-diving license, a scuba-diving excursion can be organised in Kornati on the Sunday morning, 5 June. Please let us know if you are interested in such an adventure.
